Starving artist. Literary genius. Weasel under the cocktail cabinet.

In other words, the inimitable Tess Grover.

“National Anthem” - Lana Del Rey

How appropriate. I was listening to this song on repeat along with copious amounts of Jeffree Star while reading Palahniuk’s Invisible Monsters, and now we have a video for it. It took a while for this one to grow on me, but ultimately there was just something so very Bret Easton Ellis about it that I developed a slight addiction. The video, though, is pure vintage, with Lana playing both Marilyn and Jackie O to an African-American Kennedy. Classy broad, that one. I wish I could maintain fingernails like hers without inadvertently gouging my own eyes out.
