“Pretty Face” - Sóley

I remember hearing this song for the first time some months ago and then writing to it obsessively. It’s so suited to the imagination - light, ethereal, beautiful to the point of an intricate interior pain, yet never lacerating too strongly, too heavily, like the sad German music that I also enjoy. Of course she’s Icelandic. There’s something in Icelandic music that’s like a very pretty splinter of ice.

Anyhow, I’m very pleased she’s finally made a music video. Simple but suited.
